Friend Feature: Dasee Floral Boutique

I am so excited to be back after the completion of my 30-Day-Social-Media-Free-Challenge!  I have been curating an exciting line-up of blog features for the month of April.  Stay tuned!

Today, I want to introduce the very talented Cory Christopher, Creative Director for Dasee Floral Boutique and Cory Christopher-Art, Living, Design headquartered in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.  Cory and I connected on Twitter and I was instantly amazed with his design aesthetic.

Cory takes inspiration from nature to create beautiful works of art and breathtaking floral installations.  His unique approach to floral design allows him to stand out amongst the industry as an innovator.

Cory Christopher-Art, Design, Living also provides interior design, garden design, and holiday decorating services, making his firm a full service design house.

Below is a preview of his beautiful floral design portfolio.  Visit his websites www.dasee.ca and www.corychristopher.ca.  Enjoy!

Friend Feature: Distinct Occasions

I have known Crystal for almost six years now.  She is one of the first friends I made in this industry and she has been by my side ever since.  Crystal and I have worked on many beautiful events together, some of which represent my first ’big breaks’ in the industry.  We have seen each other grow personally and professionally and I will be forever grateful for the friendship I have with her.

Crystal is the ‘Planner of Once-In-A-Lifetime Awesomeness’ and founder of Distinct Occasions.  The foundation of her business is built upon ‘True Love’.  She has a cute, quirky, and eclectic style that stands out amongst the industry.  She is not afraid to be herself and ensures her brand represents this.

Please take a moment to visit Crystal’s beautiful website at www.distinctoccasions.ca for a preview of her services and portfolio of events.

Friend Feature: Corina V Photography

Today, I would like to welcome my good friend Corina Van Sluytman to our ‘Designers Guild’.  Corina is a part of my curated support network of friends.  We share a camaraderie that is based on trust, support, and loyalty -qualities she implements into her business as evident through her wonderful rapport with all her clients.

Her photography can be found in many industry leading media including The Knot, Style Me Pretty, and WeddingBells.  Corina’s beautiful photography will also be in the pages of my book available this Fall.

Please visit Corina’s website at www.corinavphotography.com to fully experience the beauty of her work and commitment to each and every client.

Friend Feature: Laura K Design

As one of Canada’s foremost brand designers, Laura K Beauparlant leads as the creative force behind Laura K Brand Design and Laura K Invitations.  As the brand designer for PARAS Events (which she masterfully developed in six short weeks!), I was very impressed with her design ability, exceptional client service, glowing personality, and true commitment to my project.  She responded to all my requests immediately, met all projected timelines, and delivered an exceptionally high quality product.

In addition to brand design, Laura creates beautiful custom wedding stationery and recently launched a customizable wedding invitation collection for couples looking for brilliantly designed stationery suites at varied price points.

I am so proud to call Laura a friend!  Please enjoy her beautiful work below and visit her website www.laurak.ca

Friend Feature: Nuage Designs

I have been a huge fan of Nuage Designs ever since I saw their work for the first time in Grace Ormonde Wedding Style magazine eight years ago.  At the time, I was only in my second year of business.  I looked forward to the day when I would have the opportunity to work with their talented team.

The work of Nuage Designs is textural, their product offering innovative, and their commitment to design -commendable.  Simon T. Bailey says “what you want, wants you”. Little did I know that I would have the opportunity to meet members of the Nuage Designs team years later…and by accident (or destiny!).

While attending the Engage12 Luxury Wedding Business Summit at The Breakers Palm Beach, Zaira Vallejo and I sat next to each other at the speaking sessions.  Not having met her before, you can imagine how excited I became when she introduced herself from Nuage Designs!

Today on the blog, I am so pleased to showcase the founder of Nuage Designs, Pablo Oliveira!  As the industry’s ‘go-to’ for the latest and greatest, Pablo and his team work tirelessly to produce collections of trend setting linens and event furnishings that grace the finest events.  Please visit their website www.nuagedesigns.com for an overview of their breadth of services.

I look forward to working with their team later this year on a beautiful wedding in Panama!
